Item Law No. 9 of the Year 2024 On Expediting the date of Entitlement to the periodic Raises, Granting a Special Raise To the Workers Non-Addressed by the Civil Service Law, Increasing the Additional Incentive Payable to the State Civil Servants, Giving a Special Grant to the Workers of the Public Sector Companies and Public Business Sector Companies, And Increasing the Civil and Military Pensions = قانون رقم 9 لسنة 2024 بتعجيل موعد استحقاق العلاوات الدورية ومنح علاوة خاصة لغير المخاطبين بقانون الخدمة المدنية وزيادة الحافز الإضافى للعاملين بالدولة وبتقرير منحة خاصة للعاملين بشركات القطاع العام وقطاع الاعمال العام وزيادة المعاشات المدنية والعسكرية(The Middle East Library for Economic Services, 2024-02-21) The Middle East Library for Economic ServicesArticle 1: As an exception to the provisions of article (37) of the civil service law, promulgated by law no. 81 of the year 2016, the entitlement to the periodic raise payable to the employees addressed by its provisions shall be expedited to be on the first of March, 2024. This raise shall be calculated at the rate of (10%) of the job wage, payable to each of them on 29/2/2024, at a minimum limit of L.E. 150 monthly. The said raise shall be deemed as part of the employee’s job wage on 1/3/2024. This shall not prejudice the entitlement to the annual periodic raise prescribed as per article (37), referred to, on its due date on the first of July, 2025. Article 2: The entitlement to the periodic raise payable to the state civil servants who are not addressed by the Civil Service Law, referred to, shall be expedited to be on the first of March, 2024. As of that date, those workers shall be granted a special raise at the rate of (15%) of the basic wage payable to each of them on 29/2/2024, or on the date of appointment for those appointed after that date, at a minimum limit of L.E. 150 monthly. The said raise shall be deemed as part of the worker’s basic wage and shall be added thereto as of 1/3/2024. The special raise prescribed by the first paragraph hereof, shall not apply to the public service authorities and the public economic authorities, and other public juridical persons, that disburse the annual periodic raise to the workers thereat at a rate not less than (10%) of the job wage. If that raise is granted at a percentage of the basic wage, then such workers shall be granted, as of 1/3/2024, a special raise to be calculated on the basis of the difference between the rate prescribed by the first paragraph hereof and the rate on the basis of which the annual periodic raise is calculated, and the value of the special raise shall be added to the basic wage of each of them. The provisions of the first and second paragraphs of this article shall not prejudice the entitlement to the annual periodic raise established for the workers prescribed therein as per the special laws, regulations and decrees organizing same, on its due date on the first of July, 2025.
