The Middle East Library for Economic Services2025-03-162025-03-162024-12-26http://dspace.id.com.eg/handle/123456789/1526English & ArabicArticle 1: For releasing the cars imported for personal use, the following conditions shall be satisfied: 1- The importer shall be allowed to import only one car every five years. 2- The importer shall present a bank statement indicating the suitability of his solvency. 3- The importer shall pay the car value using any of the payment methods well known to banks, via the banks working in the Arab Republic of Egypt “by means of fulfilling form no. (4)”. This shall not apply to the cars of diplomats and Egyptian workers residing abroad, whose value was paid from abroad. Article 2: The provisions of article one of the present decree shall not apply to the following cases: 1- The cars which were shipped to, or arrived at, Egyptian ports before the date of enforcing this decree. 2- The cars for which letters of credit were opened or whose value was transferred before the date of enforcing this decree and as per the rules applicable in this regard. 3- The cars imported to foreign embassies and international organizations, subject to applying the reciprocity principle, as well as to the experts working in Egypt, according to the international conventions and controls regulating this matter.enMinistry of Investment and Foreign TradeimportCarsOther
