Abstract

Article 1: The foreigner residing in the Egyptian territories shall file an application with the Passports, Immigration and Nationality Administration, on the form provided for obtaining residence for any purpose or for renewing same. The application shall be coupled with a receipt indicating conversion of the issuance fees and costs of (residence cards – visa overstaying fines) as denominated in US dollar or free currencies, to Egyptian pound, and having a validity period not exceeding fifteen days as of the conversion date, by one of the banks operating in Egypt or one of the certified exchange companies. Article 6: The provisions regulating the residence of foreigners shall apply to the matters for which no special provision is stipulated by the present decree.
