Abstract

Article 1: Subject to the conditions stipulated in sub-items (1), (2) and (3) of Item “Fourth” of Article-4 of Law No. 26 of the year 1975 on the Egyptian Citizenship, the Prime Minister, based on the proposal of the Naturalization Application Examination Unit, may grant the Egyptian citizenship to the naturalization applicant if he meets any of the following conditions: Article 2: A Unit shall be established at the Cabinet to be concerned with examining and expressing opinion on the naturalization applications submitted according to the provision of Article One of this Decree. A decree shall be issued by the Prime Minister to form, determine the other competencies and system of work of the Unit, the rules and procedures of submitting and deciding on the naturalization applications as well as the required data and documents.
