Abstract

Article 2: Except for those imported in the name or for the account of any government bodies, no strategic agricultural goods may be imported unless an import permit is obtained from the Organization. The permit shall be issued, in response to an application submitted by the importer or his agent, on the relevant form prepared by the Organization. The application should indicate the country of origin and the quantities to be imported. Import permits shall be issued within two working days from the date of filing applications. There should be coordination between the Organization and Agricultural Quarantine to specify the countries of origin from which imports are permissible. Article 3: A registry shall be established in the Organization, for international audit and inspection companies that desire to provide pre-shipment inspection (PSI) services, provided that these companies should submit a file containing the following data:
