Abstract

Article 1: The Suez Canal Authority shall be responsible for running the affairs of, managing, exploiting, maintaining and improving the Suez Canal facility. Its responsibilities in this respect shall include the Canal facility in particular and the condition thereof at the time of issuing Law No. 285 of the year 1956 concerning the nationalization of the Universal Suez Ship Canal Company. The Authority may establish or participate in or support the establishment of the projects related to or associated with the Canal facility it deems necessary.
